29th October 2023 was a beautiful but sad day for us at St. Barnabas’. After 3 years, it was time to say goodbye to our Chaplain, Fr. Ian Nicholson and his wife Carol. Fr. Ian was retiring and they were returning to their antipodean home in New Zealand.
We celebrated with joy the years that they had led our worship, provided leadership and shaped our parish into a close family. They are truly a partnership and we will miss them and wish them every success in their future life together.
The church was full and we all came together for refreshments after the service to thank them for their service and wish them safe travels home.
